It is my goal to empower individuals to recognize and embrace the strengths that live within them. I utilize evidence-based techniques to aid individuals with living a life filled with healthy relationships, self-confidence, and joy. I provide clients with strategies to combat life stressors, anxiety and depression.
Early in my career, I had the opportunity to work in community-based settings where I learned the skills to help clients overcome fixed mindsets and develop healthy behaviors to succeed both emotionally and socially.
Later in my career, I led new mom’s support groups to help mothers navigate this unique time of life in a supportive and non-judgmental community. I currently specialize in working with maternal mental health where I aid mothers in exploring many topics including a mother’s new normal, changing relationships with her partner, the baby blues as well as postpartum depression/ anxiety/ OCD, adjusting to returning to work, introducing a new sibling to the family, navigating new dynamics with older children and much more.
As a psychotherapist, I have had the privilege to work with individuals who are brave enough to openly discuss difficult life transitions and learn the tools to deal with them. It is truly inspiring to witness the tenacity of individuals who take the time to be the best they can be.
I believe my intuition and good listening skills as well as authentic ability to hold a non-judgmental space for clients are where my strengths lie. It is in this environment that clients have the chance to tell their story and learn how to realize their healthiest self. Once people are given the opportunity to express themselves with a caring and supportive therapist, change can lead to revelations that can lead to renewal.
Before I was a therapist, I studied creative writing and taught creative & college writing. Through that, I saw I was connecting to the writers & their stories most of all, which led me here. In addition to my graduate degrees, I've studied nonviolent communication, Internal Family Systems & yoga. I am part of the LGBTQIA+ community and have experience working with queer, trans, & ace/aro clients. I'm deeply committed to accompanying others on their path to self-knowledge and healing.
I have a passion for working with individuals struggling with life changes and mental health. As a licensed clinical social worker, I have 25 years experience working as a therapist in various counseling, school, and mental health environments. I provide individual and family therapy to adolescents and adults in a supportive, safe, environment. I am experienced in working with anxiety and mood disorders, disordered eating, life transitions, relationship issues, and self esteem.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with specialized training in trauma-informed modalities. I’m Level 1 trained in both IFS and EMDR, and I’ve worked across a variety of traditional and nontraditional settings including a digital mental health startup, community-based clinics, and private practice. My approach is relational and mind-body oriented, grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is a powerful foundation for healing, self-discovery, and growth. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who obtained my Master of Social Work from Binghamton University. I have experience working together with diverse populations and various ages, ranging from children to adults.
