Hello my name is Lakeshia Gill and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of Illinois. I enjoy helping others in all capacities.
I believe that the relationship between a client and therapist is unique. It requires a great deal of trust on the side of the client and an open and honest approach on the side of the therapist. For the last 20 years, I have worked with individuals and families in a school setting as well as in private practice. I have learned that everyone, even when part of a family system, has his or her own needs that can be met through a therapeutic relationship.
I've devoted a decade of my career helping parents learn how to best help their children. And another decade helping adults in an out-patient partial hospitalization program. These are the moments when people have felt the most vulnerable and in need of something more than what they are already trying to manage their mental health. Hopefully, my experience and tools that I've gathered working across the age groups and in a more intense level of care can help you build your own toolbox.
I’m a licensed therapist dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward emotional wellbeing, healing, and personal growth. My educational background includes school based and mental health therapy specializing in relationship issues, anxiety and stress. You don’t have to have it all figured out to take the first step. If you’re looking for a warm, nonjudgmental space, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
As an artist and art therapist, I believe that creativity comes in many forms. It is my goal to help every individual create a peaceful home environment be it through art or therapy. Being a visual artist means being able to make simple shapes and lines and help them evolve into another form. Art therapy uses lines, shapes and colors to help one heal. How an individual choses to manipulate those various tools determines the final outcome.
Welcome! (Bienvenido/a!). My name is Jess and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have over 6 years of experience working in a variety of settings including community mental health, schools, and hospital settings. I have worked with Latinx populations, LGBTQIA+, immigrant/refugee populations, and individuals with complex trauma. I am fluent in English and Spanish, and have extensive experience providing therapy to children and adults in both languages.
I'm passionate about working with adults who are ready to heal the old stuff that is getting in the way of living life fully, now.
