Does life feel overwhelming right now? Are you feeling more anxious or depressed than usual? Are you doing everything you can think of, but nothing is working for you? You are not alone. There is help, hope and healing to feel better and to live well. My name is Jaime Williamson, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and owner of Well Life Counseling Services, PLLC. I have been helping others just like yourself for over 11 years. I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from Dominican University School of Social Work in 2009. I have extensive experience working with adults in both private practice and hospital-based settings who are struggling with life transitions, anxiety, depression and other mood related disorders.
I have 26 years of experience dealing with individuals, couples, families in therapy. We will work together to develop plans that are unique and right for you.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a background in trauma-informed care, school social work, and a deep passion for supporting mothers, caregivers, and individuals healing from religious trauma. I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, ADHD, and spiritual wounding. My style is warm, grounded, and collaborative, with a focus on helping clients feel safe, seen, and heard. I offer a compassionate, judgment-free space for those processing complex life experiences, including clients who are deconstructing rigid belief systems or navigating the impact of spiritual abuse or exclusion. I welcome clients of all identities and backgrounds, and I deeply value honest connections and authenticity in the healing process.
I truly do bring a wealth of experience to the table. Lifelong social worker. Have treated spinal cord injured adults at a rehab hospital in British Columbia. Served in Early Intervention for years as a child behavior specialist and parent educator. Worked in Arizona, Hawaii and Colorado as a School Social Worker. In Colorado served as a DCFS case worker. Supervised foster care, adoption and international adoption professional staff in Arizona for Catholic Charities. Throughout my long career it has been inevitable that I have acquired a broad understanding to the human condition, and have never lost my compassion for how hard life can be for many.
I was an activist long before I was a therapist, and I bridge these approaches in my work. Chicago parents, queers, spoonies, feminists, sex workers, polyfolx and weirdos of all stripes: I got you.
