Greetings! Welcome to Live Light Counseling! I’m Victoria Henry. I have a Masters in Mental Health counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Currently my practice is serving couples, targeting women’s issues, and adjustment and change of life issues. I utilize the Gottman method for couples therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to address various problem areas.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a background in both clinical mental health and education. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida A&M University and am currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at Saint Thomas University. My training has shaped a holistic approach that considers emotional well-being within family, school, and community contexts.
I provide individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related stress, emotional regulation difficulties, academic stress, and life transitions. I have experience working in community mental health and school-based settings, supporting diverse populations.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, person-centered therapy, mindfulness strategies, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and strengths-based interventions. I often incorporate creative techniques when helpful, especially with younger clients.
All services are provided through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions.
Therapy with me is very human and genuine. I don’t just focus on what’s painful or stuck but help to highlight the ways in which my clients overcome life's punches. While I take this work seriously, I believe laughter can be healing and disarming in therapy.

My work is trauma-informed, affirming, and rooted in helping clients feel both emotionally safe and genuinely understood.

“We are never more fully alive, more completely ourselves or more deeply engrossed in anything than when we are playing”. -Charles Schaefer. Play is vital for children to express themselves and learn about their surroundings and general environment. In addition to exploration, it is essential for their development. Allowing the space for them to play freely generates the possibility of understanding their world and their motivation. Instead of the traditional format of communication, we often learn more about a child's thoughts, feelings, motivations, and struggles by watching them play.
To be able to give a child power, motivation, and confidence will set the foundation for a successful life. Often times when dealing with a traumatic situation and learning to deal and cope with it effectively, allows a child (or anyone for that matter) to become the best versions of themselves and learn to move forward.
Play Therapy sessions with a Licensed clinician that cares and helps create a safe place. I guide my clients and their parents every step of the way and implement various methods to help them develop new attitudes towards all of life’s most complex matters. The works I do benefits children coming from abusive homes and dealing with some of those challenges.
