Call me Ben! I've been in private practice as an LCSW for 6+ years and the mental health field at-large for close to a decade. I live in Asheville, North Carolina with my wife and our two cats. I love to go hiking and kayaking, I own a record store where I also work, and love a good gaming session with my friends.
Welcome to my page! My name is Melissa Benzaquen. I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. I am here to provide you with emotional support and the tools you need to cope with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
You are not alone! Uncertain moments, occasional loneliness, difficulty making friends, searching for a life partner, and other life circumstances can be painful and challenging. It would be an honor to help you to build optimism and find purpose in your life.
Today, I will provide you with a warm and safe place where you feel comfortable in this transformative journey, and the goal is to achieve happiness and peace.
The reason why I chose to touch the lives of people through therapy stemmed out of my desire to assist people with the challenges of daily living. I opened up Fruggiero Counseling Services with the intention that it would be a safe haven for you to free yourself in expressing both the worst and best moments of your life. There is difficulty in holding thoughts and feelings within, but know that my priority is to ensure you a place free of judgement; and instead a place of light and clarity, that can bring you tranquility and peace in the midst of turmoil.
My specialty is helping those who need to be heard, seek support, and look for a safe place to open up to process thoughts & feelings, as they become a better version of themselves. I’ve learned that people struggle with Pandora’s box within, and although may be surrounded by what seems a mob of loved ones; still manage to feel less than their own shadow.
I have extensive training and experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, adolescents, families, & veterans struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, anger, stress management, social skills, parental coaching, trauma & overall life transitions. Additionally, I work with women struggling with infertility, pregnancy difficulties & losses.
