We work with adults as well as children 4-10 in our specialized playroom. We consult on best practices to raise thriving, self confident children ready for the real world. We treat infants- toddlers 0-3. We also love working with teens and young adults, assisting them with issues of identity and self worth.
Hi, I’m Natasha Janac, a psychologist and licensed mental health counselor with over 20 years of experience. I’m committed to helping clients gain clarity, build effective tools, and create meaningful change in their lives. My style is warm, welcoming, and focused on practical solutions that support real progress. I look forward to partnering with you as you move toward greater confidence, balance, and well-being.
I specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders and OCD in children, adolescents, and adults. I completed my postdoctoral training at the Rothman Center of Pediatric Neuropsychiatry, where I received training in using exposure therapy for the treatment of anxiety disorders and OCD. I am also trained in the treatment of impulse control disorders (e.g. Tourette's, trichotillomania) using evidence-based treatment.
During my clinical training and subsequent career, I have worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health centers, hospitals, youth residential facilities, and private practice. I have experience in the treatment of behavioral and emotional problems in children, adolescents and young adults.
I have specific interest and experience in the treatment of young children (ages 3 to 7 years) with anxiety disorders or behavior problems.
I approach work with my patients with genuineness, unconditional positive regard, and empathy. I work with my patients according to their goals in a collaborative manner. I also meet my patients where they are, with challenges that are digestible.
I provide a nonjudgmental, compassionate, and confidential space where you can express yourself freely. My priority is to create an environment where you feel heard, valued, and respected. I believe therapy is not “one-size-fits-all.” I tailor my approach based on your unique needs, experiences, and goals, using evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Strategies.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and I will walk alongside you. I empower you to set the pace, make decisions, and discover solutions that work best for you. While we address challenges, I also highlight your resilience, strengths, and personal growth, helping you recognize the progress you are making along the way.
I understand that life can be overwhelming, and I will never expect perfection from you. I approach my work with authenticity, empathy, and a sense of humor when appropriate because I believe healing happens best when we can be real.
There is no "right way" to heal, and setbacks are part of growth. I am here to support you in moments of triumph as well as struggle, without pressure or unrealistic expectations. If something isn't working for you, we can adjust. Your comfort and trust in this process matter, and I encourage open communication to ensure therapy is effective and meaningful for you.
Ultimately, my goal is to help you gain clarity, build coping skills, and create a life that aligns with your values and well-being. You are not alone, and I am honored to be part of your journey.
