Hello. My Name is Kahli. I am a qualified mental health professional.
I provide therapy to adults and children.
I specialize in helping women to get through challenging life transitions.
Using an eclectic mix of evidence-based treatments, common sense and humor, I provide individual therapy, pre-marital and marital counseling.
My training and experience in mental health treatment, child welfare, criminal justice and domestic violence prevention give me a unique perspective as a helping professional.
I help my clients to discover and build upon their own inner strengths and resources. I believe in forming a strong & trusting partnership with my clients to make them feel comfortable, understood & confident in their lives. I provide helpful, honest counseling both virtually and in person.
Contact me for a free 15-minute telephone consultation. My first goal is to help you to determine if we are a good match. If we are, then we will create a plan of action that will guide our work together.
I hold a PhD in Social Work with an emphasis on mental health education. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have clinical expertise in treating anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD, trauma, bi-polar disorder, and chronic medical conditions exacerbated by mental health. I provide an interactive therapeutic style for individuals, couples, and families. To do this, I integrate various methods and techniques to offer a personalized client centered approach. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, spirituality, motivational interviewing, and solution focused strategies inclusive of compassion and understanding.
I am a Masters-Level Clinician providing individual and couples counseling both in-person and via telehealth. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eckerd College and my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I am a member of the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honors Society, the American Counseling Association, and the American Mental Health Counselors Association.
My experience allows me to work with individuals seeking to improve their mental health. I am passionate about helping teens, young adults, and college students dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and trauma.
In practice, I use an eclectic approach and encourage a healthy amount of autonomy with clients.
