I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have been a nurse for over 20 years and the majority of my background comes from working in public health and child protective services. I am passionate about providing care that is both clinically effective and deeply human. My work is rooted in an evidence based approach, which means I rely on proven treatments, research and best practices to guide care.
If you are feeling disconnected, unheard, or stuck in a cycle of pain, please know you don’t have to navigate this alone. I’m Dr. Alexa Cook, and I believe therapy should be a sanctuary—a place where you feel truly seen, heard, and safe. Whether you’re struggling with the weight of anxiety, the ache of loneliness, or the echoes of past trauma, my goal is to help you feel validated and supported. Together, we will explore your experiences with curiosity & compassion, shifting from a state of survival to a path of genuine freedom and healing.
I completed my Masters degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Art Therapy in 2015. Since then I have become passionate about using Internal Family Systems therapy both personally and professionally. I completed Level 1 in 2024 and I love combining IFS, art therapy and mindfulness in a compassionate approach to manage mental health and deepen self awareness and self expression.

Hi! I'm Aliyah Simcoff, LCSW! I received my MSSW from UT Austin in May 2020, and have since worked primarily in community mental and behavioral health with stints working in the carceral system.
My journey into mental health began as a path to healing for myself. Experiencing significant family mental health and addiction challenges, I saw how a broken system could worsen treatable issues. Personally navigating trauma, ADHD, and neurodivergent symptoms, I found deep healing through a blend of Western psychology and Eastern spirituality practices. I offer a deeply personalized approach and connect authentically with the people I serve.

I have a new rescue puppy named Salli Sue who is a great emotional support for me. I have two grown sons who I enjoy spending time with. I have a passion for working with people of all ages. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
I have worked providing mental health care extensively in many environments including wilderness behavioral programs, juvenile detention centers, acute mental health hospitals and addiction clinics. I now live in the Colorado Springs area with my wife and our three kids who all love the mountains and high mountain lakes.
