Are you feeling stressed out, struggling with a life transition, not happy with your career, unfulfilled in your current relationship and/or contemplating divorce? Life can be challenging and sometimes we need help along the way.
With the proper support and guidance, counseling can help you cultivate your strengths, regain control, learn ways to overcome difficulties, enrich your life, and take positive steps toward a more fulfilling future. I can help you identify and break the negative patterns in your life and create more positive relationships and productive behavior change. Taking an active and empathic approach, I provide a comfortable space to explore, discuss, and feel heard and understood.
I work collaboratively with adults and couples utilizing a variety of pragmatic, therapeutic approaches tailored to your unique needs and personality. We will start out by defining your therapeutic goals for improvement as well as developing the roadmap to get you there. Whether you want to work on communication skills, getting unstuck, reducing stress/anxiety/anger, developing a more positive outlook or improved coping mechanisms, I use a strengths-based approach to empower you to move into a new chapter in your life.
We will work together via a HIPAA compliant video platform (Zoom), meeting from the comfort of YOUR own couch, so there is no need to stress about travel, traffic, or being recognized in a therapist's waiting room. For your convenience, I offer morning, afternoon, and evening appointments.
Schedule a session now so we can begin the process toward healing and happiness.
My approach is person-centered, focusing on you, the client, and the moment-to-moment engagement, discovering insights together. I can help you discover insights into barriers, and the constructive solutions to overcoming those barriers. Each person has the right to live a life free of negative thoughts and experiences—a life of healthy well-being.
I’m a trauma‐informed therapist who believes healing doesn’t require perfection—just honesty, compassion, and a willingness to take the next small step. Most of the people I work with are balancing careers, relationships, parenting, and the invisible emotional load that comes with everyday life. They’re strong, capable, and exhausted from carrying more than anyone realizes.
Clients often tell me they appreciate that I’m real, relatable, and not the kind of therapist who just nods silently. I show up fully. I help you connect the dots. And I hold space for the parts of you that have been working so hard for so long.
If you’re looking for a therapist who understands the realities of everyday life and offers nonjudgemental compassionate support, I’d be honored to work with you.
My name is Corey Tolliver, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked with various populations and have a diverse background including people with trauma, crisis, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship problems, and fatherhood.
Hi! I am Lily, and I am a licensed independent clinical social worker serving clients in both the state of Massachusetts and the state of Colorado. I received my masters of social work from Simmons University in Boston, MA. During my program, I studied for a certificate of trauma practice, in which I solidified my approach to clients across the lifespan to be in a trauma-informed way.
I am accepting new clients.
We all need someone to listen to, understand, and support us, especially during times of uncertainty and transition. My goal is to create a safe, therapeutic space in which you feel comfortable to be yourself and share your fears, hopes, and struggles. As each client is a unique individual, I feel the process of counseling should be tailored to meet your specific needs. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and have the innate ability to heal.
My introduction to helping people and psychology both came about, as a result of following my mom’s example and the Bob Newhart Show. My mother was a natural people person with a keen interest and background in psychology. My take-away from the Bob Newhart Show drove home the needs for humor and light-heartedness as well as a genuine love for what you do. I believe that those qualities: love for people and my passion and seeing the humor in things truly define me, both as a therapist and a person. My academic journey led me to both bachelors and masters degrees from The University of Northern Colorado and included intensive training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Hypnotherapy during my sabbatical in between my degrees. With a strong theoretical base supporting me, I moved forward and was able to blend my education with twenty years of real-world experience. I went on and diversified my experience as I worked in community counseling, community corrections, Inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and private practice. Although our learning never ceases, I feel very comfortable and sincere in offering clients my wealth of experience, knowledge of human behavior, and most of all, a kind ear.
