Hello! I’m Clifford Echabu, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive mental health care. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported on their healing journey. My approach is collaborative and holistic—combining evidence-based treatment with open, judgment-free communication.
I have experience working in inpatient psychiatric care and community mental health settings, treating individuals facing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD/trauma-related concerns, ADHD, and substance-use challenges. I also focus on promoting emotional wellness, building coping skills, and empowering clients to take an active role in their care.
Whether you’re navigating a new diagnosis or seeking ongoing support, I strive to create a safe environment where you can be your authentic self and work toward stability, resilience, and renewed hope. Together, we will build a personalized treatment plan that fits your life and your goals.
I have always been passionate about working with children and their families. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Child Development and Family Studies where I had the opportunity to study typical child development throughout the various stages.
This foundation allowed me to have a unique perspective as I continued my studies in medical school, psychiatry residency, and finally my Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship, where I served as chief fellow.
It would be an honor to assist you and your family through whatever mental health challenges you all are facing.
My journey to becoming a psychiatric mental health provider originated from the need to provide psychiatric mental health services to all persons. I worked in an inpatient psychiatric setting for five years and decided to advance my career by obtaining my master’s degree in nursing - psychiatry. This advancement has allowed me to help others with their mental health journey. Do you need help with anxiety, depression, ADHD, psychosis, and mania? Reach out today! Your mental health is important.

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with experience providing care in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. My clinical background allows me to support adults across a wide range of mental health needs—from acute stabilization to ongoing outpatient treatment—while maintaining a thoughtful, individualized approach to care.
I received my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) degree from Texas State University, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. I am known for my warm, approachable style and for taking the time to truly listen, as I believe effective mental health care begins with trust, collaboration, and feeling understood.
I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, and life stressors. My approach emphasizes conservative medication management, clear patient education, and shared decision-making so individuals feel informed and confident in their care.
In addition to my psychiatric training, I have a background in women’s health, which enhances my understanding of how physical health and life-stage factors can influence mental well-being. This perspective allows me to provide well-rounded, inclusive care for all adults.
